Warranty
1. Overview
At Gym Unlocked we stand behind the quality of our fitness equipment. This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for products purchased from us for normal residential use. This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
2. Warranty Periods
- Frame: 5 years
- Components (motor, mechanical and major electrical parts): 2 years
- Display / Console: 2 years
- Consumables (running belt, rubber slats, grips, etc.): 180 days (≈ 6 months)
3. What this Warranty Covers
During the applicable warranty period, Gym Unlocked will, at our option, repair or replace any part or product found to be defective due to manufacturing faults in materials or workmanship, subject to the terms below.
4. What this Warranty Does NOT Cover
- Normal wear and tear (including belts, grips, cosmetic scuffs).
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, improper assembly, lack of maintenance, accidents, or exposure to elements.
- Damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications.
- Products used in commercial, rental, or institutional settings.
- Consumables once their specified warranty period has expired.
5. Statutory Rights (Important)
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this warranty. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if goods are faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose. Retailers must normally repair or replace items returned within the first 6 months unless they can show the item was not faulty when sold. For distance sales, separate cancellation rights may also apply.
6. How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Email our support team at info@gymunlocked.com with:
- Your full name and order number
- Product name and serial number (if available)
- A clear description of the fault
- Photographs or a short video showing the issue
- We will acknowledge your claim and may ask for additional information or evidence. We aim to review claims and respond within 3–5 business days.
- If the defect is covered, we will arrange one of the following (at our discretion): repair, replacement of the defective part, or replacement of the product.
7. Shipping and Repairs
For valid warranty claims, Gym Unlocked will generally cover reasonable shipping costs to return items for repair or replacement. If a claim is found not to be covered by the warranty, you will be responsible for return shipping costs and any repair charges.
8. Repair Process & Timeframes
Where a repair is required we will attempt to complete repairs as quickly as reasonably possible. 9. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) & Further Help
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate your complaint to an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider (if eligible) or seek advice from Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards office. Using ADR or other dispute resolution does not affect your legal rights to take court action.
